Screening of The Last Repair Shop

Celebrate and support music education in public schools at a FREE screening of the Academy Award-Winning documentary short, The Last Repair ShopOnce commonplace in the United States, today Los Angeles is by far the largest and one of the last American cities to provide free and freely repaired musical instruments to its public schoolchildren. From directing duo Ben Proudfoot and Kris Bowers, The Last Repair Shop grants an all-access pass to the nondescript downtown warehouse where a dwindling handful of devoted craftspeople keep student instruments in good repair.

Join the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD), Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF), and the Culver City High School Academy of Visual & Performing Arts (AVPA) on Thursday, September 26th at the Robert Frost Auditorium for a reception, screening of the film, student performances, and an engaging conversation on how we must all continue to support CCUSD’s own nationally-recognized music education program.
