SIP for our Schools is a Success

Thank you to everyone who participated in our SIP for Our Schools whiskey tasting and fundraising event last weekend – virtually as well as in-person at the Wende Museum. We’re thrilled to share that together we raised more than $60,000 in support of CCEF’s mission to ensure every student in the CCUSD district has a quality education!

We hope you enjoyed the live streamed program including an entertaining and educational blind tasting with “Pops” from Bourbon & Banter, silent auction, and highlights of CCEF’s work to support valuable programs at every Culver City school. Following the main program, those guests who had purchased tickets to our mixology demonstrations learned to make cocktails with the Auld Fella, Dear John’s, and Simonette, and also watched great tips on how to make a beautiful cheese board with Chef Aliza Miner.

One of our biggest goals for this year’s event was to bring our community together to celebrate the fantastic programs that CCEF funds, and we did just that by gathering at the Wende Museum on Saturday afternoon. Those who attended had an opportunity to hear our AVPA Jazz Combo play, meet our new Superintendent Quoc Tran, view live demonstrations by our CCHS Robotics Team, and create a beautiful group mural. It was a wonderful afternoon! 

Did you miss the event, but still want to participate? We have discounted whiskey kits available for purchase, and even a few auction items you can grab at a reduced price – all to benefit our Culver City students! Look out for our next monthly e-newsletter to find links to the livestream recording. Those who purchased tickets to our mixology demonstrations will receive a separate email with links to the videos and recipes.
