CCEF Marks 10th Anniversary of Front and Center Theater Collaborative

In 2019, CCEF and the CCUSD marked ten years of supporting the Front and Center Theater Collaborative, which includes seven professional arts organizations. In 2019, more than 4,000 CCUSD students attended classes in writing, performing and improvisation.

The six arts organizations in the collaborative include the 24^th Street Theatre, The Actors’ Gang, Center Theatre Group, Story Pirates, We Tell Stories, and Young Storytellers

Through classroom workshops and performances, the professional teaching artists provide a wide range of educational activities including acting, storytelling, character development, playwrighting, music instruction, dance, set design and theater production. Many of the activities support lessons in empathy, emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.
