OCD’s New Outdoor Play Hub Breaks Ground

Thanks to a generous donation by Amazon Studios, construction has begun on a beautiful outdoor space for creative learning and play for the Culver City preschoolers at the Office of Child Development’s Farragut campus.

The outdoor Play Hub will include exciting features such as a mud pit, sensory path and reading garden. The Play Hub will also be ADA compliant, and includes shade structures, outdoor furniture, and areas for physical and imaginative play.

The majority of construction will be completed in the next few weeks prior to the start of the school year. We are most excited to welcome the community to take part in helping to install a fence rope mural. The design of the mural will be based on art pieces created by our early learners’ when asked, “What do you love most about nature?” Stay tuned for details on this volunteer opportunity.
