Vote Yes on Measure AA
A student discovers a love of music. A teacher helps a challenging concept click. A robotics team turns an ambitious idea into something that works.
Across Culver City’s public schools, moments like these help students discover their strengths and imagine their futures. They reflect the care, creativity, and commitment of our educators – and a community that believes every child deserves opportunities to learn and grow.
For 45 years, the Culver City Education Foundation has brought that community together to support those opportunities. Today, that commitment also means speaking up for the public investment our schools need.
The CCEF Board of Directors has endorsed Measure AA, and we encourage you to vote YES on November 3.
Why this matters to CCEF: Through your generosity, CCEF supports classroom resources, creative arts, student wellness, STEM learning, and college and career readiness across CCUSD. We see what these investments make possible for students and educators every day. We also recognize the limits of what charitable giving can accomplish on its own.
A community initiative for our public schools: Strong public schools are one of Culver City’s greatest community assets. They educate our children, strengthen our neighborhoods and help make Culver City a place where families want to live and businesses want to invest.
Measure AA is an important opportunity to provide our schools with stable, locally controlled funding at a time when state funding alone is not enough to sustain the high-quality education our community expects. If approved, Measure AA would generate an estimated $18 million annually for Culver City public schools for 10 years, supporting priorities such as attracting and retaining excellent teachers, maintaining manageable class sizes, and sustaining and growing arts, athletics, STEM, instructional aides and other educational programs. Measure AA would also bring a substantial contribution into CCUSD from Culver City’s business community and corporate neighbors.
Culver City is not alone in pursuing parcel tax funding for public education. Measure AA would bring Culver City closer to the level of local investment that neighboring communities have already chosen to make in their public schools.
An investment in the students we serve: A vote YES on Measure AA is a vote to invest in the students, teachers and educational opportunities that are central to Culver City’s future. Great schools do not happen by accident—they require a community willing to prioritize education and invest in excellence. On November 3, let’s come together to protect the quality of Culver City schools and give our students the resources they need to thrive.
Please join CCEF in voting YES on Measure AA on November 3.
